Wimbledon 2019 men’s semi-final: What time will Rafael Nadal play Roger Federer?

Rafael Nadal and Roger Federer face off at Wimbledon on Firday for the first time in 11 years with a place in the final at stake.

Nadal beating Sam Querrey 7-5, 6-2, 6-2 while Federer overcame Kei Nishikori 4-6, 6-1, 6-4, 6-4 in the semi-finals.

Federer said ahead of facing his rival: “He’s improved so much over the years on the grass. He’s serving way different now, now he’s so much faster to finish points. It’s impressive to see how healthy he’s stayed.”

World no.1 Novak Djokovic faces Spain’s Roberto Bautista Agut, who had never previously made it past the fourth round at Wimbledon, in the other semi-final.

The men’s semi-finals take place on Friday, 12 July.

Federer and Nadal will play after Djokovic takes on Bautista, which starts at 1pm, so a start time of between 3pm and 4pm is expected.

How many Wimbledon titles have Nadal and Federer won?

Federer has won a record eight Wimbledon titles, whereas Nadal currently holds two.

The pair have faced off three times at Wimbledon in the 2006, 2007 and 2008 finals. The latter is regarded by many as the greatest match in Wimbledon history, if not of the sport as a whole.

Together with Djokovic, Nadal and Federer continue to dominate the tennis scene, with the trio holding an impressive 53 Grand Slam titles between them.
