Kim Kardashian West has mom Kris Jenner to thank for helping her realize ecstasy was not for her.

The "Keeping Up with the Kardashians" star was a guest on E!'s "Busy Tonight" Sunday and discussed her drug revelation with host Busy Philipps. On Nov. 25 episode of "Keeping Up," Kardashian West admitted to trying the drug twice, which resulted in her first walk down the aisle at just 19 and making a sex tape.

The KKW Beauty entrepreneur shared that those in her inner circle were surprised by her confession.

"People that were close to me, that obviously know that life of mine, they're like, 'I can't believe you said that,' and I was like, 'Well, I mean I never really hide anything,' " the 38-year-old mother of three said. "It's just weird to people – like, I've done ecstasy, but I don't drink, I don't smoke weed, I don't do anything."

Kardashian West said Jenner's reaction helped her decide to avoid the drug in the future.

"I would tell my mom everything," she explained. "We always had such a close relationship, so I would come home and be like, 'Oh my God, Mom, we did ecstasy last night.' "

Kardashian West recalled her mom telling her, " 'You're gonna ruin yourself.' She was so upset, and she never did drugs so she was just so upset thinking that I was gonna like turn into something and just be this crazy drug addict, and I just was like, you know what, she's so right, I'm so over it.

"Like, this is so not me," Kardashian West added, "and I just, I never did anything again."

Previously she told her younger sister, Kendall Jenner, and the father of her sister Kourtney Kardashian's children, Scott Disick, about her ecstasy experiences on their reality show.

"I did ecstasy once, and I got married (to music producer Damon Thomas)," she said. "I did it again, I made a sex tape (with singer Ray J)."

According to Kardashian West, when she was on the drug, "everything bad would happen."

Meanwhile, Philipps revealed on a previous episode of "Busy," that she had a very difference experience on ecstasy compared to Kardashian West.

"I've done ecstasy. I was a ‘90s raver in Arizona," she said in November. "Making a sex tape literally never occurred to me on ecstasy ... It just made me wanna dance."

The "Dawson's Creek" alum noted that the quality of drugs could have made the difference.

"Maybe it’s because Kim and I were doing different types of E. She had that good Hollywood E and I had Arizona E, which may or may not have been just 100 percent meth. I don’t know,” she quipped.
