Kanye West seemingly showed his support for Sean "P. Diddy" Combs this weekend as he said he is "praying" for him during the rapper's sex trafficking trial, which is entering a third week on Tuesday.

Earlier this week, Cassie Ventura's mother and rapper Kid Cudi were among those testifying in court. George Kaplan, a personal assistant for Diddy from 2013 to 2015, as well as another personal assistant, David James, also testified.

Now Ye, who has previously shared his support for Diddy, 55, on social media, shared a new post on X, referring to the hip hop mogul as "Puff" - his childhood nickname. Ye, 47, wrote, "I wish Cudi hadn't testified against Puff.

"We need to not be locked in white systems. Praying for Puff and his family. Praying for Puff Daddy and the Family." Diddy is facing charges including sex trafficking, racketeering conspiracy and transportation to engage in prostitution. The Bad Boy Records founder has vehemently denied the allegations and pleaded not guilty in court.

Earlier this month, Diddy's X account shared a link to a meme coin with the caption, "WE LOVE YOU POPS!" Kanye then reposted the comment, adding a black heart emoji and the hashtag, "FREEDIDDY." But fans of the Carnival hitmaker are not happy with his stance.

Writing in the comments, one person urged, "stfu kanye." Another questioned, "you finally sponsor a coin and its f------ this…." Another said, "Would you leave diddy alone with your daughter? I didn't think so." Someone else fumed, "This is not my Kanye," while another simply commented, "No way."

Much of the case presented by prosecutors so far has revolved around accusations that Diddy physically and sexually abused Cassie for years, and coerced her into sexual encounters called "freak-offs" with men who were paid thousands of dollars to have sex with her.

The rapper has also been charged with racketeering. Prosecutors claim they will prove that Diddy used his businesses and employees "to carry out, facilitate, and cover up his acts of violence, abuse, and commercial sex."

On May 26, Diddy, who has been held in MDC Brooklyn since his high-profile arrest in September 2024, will be spending his first Memorial Day behind bars. According to TMZ, Diddy and his fellow inmates in 4 North - the wing of the prison reserved for high-profile prisoners - will be able to play dominoes, spades, board games, as well as 3-on-3 basketball. The publication reported that fruit and cereal will be served at breakfast.

For lunch, the menu includes BBQ chicken, macaroni and cheese, mixed veggies and a holiday dessert, it has been claimed. At dinnertime, chicken and rice - or tofu for those eating plant-based meals - pinto beans, canned corn and whole wheat bread are on the menu. The Mirror US has approached the MDC for comment.
