New Hampshire-based New England Village Foods is recalling several snacks because they contain undeclared allergens.
According to a report from the FDA, the company is recalling all lots of its five-ounce and 10-ounce containers of its “19th Hole Snack Mix” because they possibly contain almonds. Sesame, another potential allergen, is not declared in the “contains” statement. People with allergies to almonds or sesame risk serious or life-threatening allergic reactions if they consume these products.
The recalled snack mixes were distributed to small independent grocery markets and convenience stores throughout New England, New York, and Pennsylvania. The product comes in 5-ounce and 10-ounce clear cups and tubs with reclosable lids. The 5-ounce containers are marked with the UPC number 609465693477. The ten-ounce containers have the UPC number 642147152459.
The FDA is urging consumers who have purchased the five-ounce or 10-ounce packages of “19th Hole Snack Mix” to return them to the place of purchase for a full refund.
