Autodesk Is Expected to Post a Profit

Analysts say revenue is up almost 15% to $557 million but the stock seems overvalued

The software company Autodesk Inc. (ADSK) will release its latest financial figures after market close on May 24.

Autodesk sells its software to several industries, including architecture, construction, engineering, manufacturing, entertainment and media. The stock in Autodesk is traded on the Nasdaq Composite and has a market capitalization of $29.9 billion. The figures are for the first quarter of 2019, which ended on April 30.

For the quarter, analysts expect Autodesk to report a net profit of 3 cents per share compared to a loss of 16 cents per share in the prior fiscal year quarter. The forecast for the first quarter is a mean of 17 estimates among analysts who were surveyed. These estimates fall in the range of a net profit of 1 cent to 5 cents per share.Ă‚

Revenue is forecasted to come in at $557 million. This represents a 14.8% growth from the comparable of fiscal 2018. The revenue of $557.37 million is a 16 estimates' average.
